The organization I have chosen to be a volunteer with is the Christian High School Youth Football Program. The program strives to give kids ages 7-14 exposure to the game of football and its fundamentals as well as prepare them for the high school level. I have been a volunteer assistant coach with the same group of kids for 4 years currently. The youth program now in its second year, is still in the growing process and currently has two 5th grade teams and one 7th grade team. My roles in the organization include helping coach my dad's 5th grade team, help run concessions, and operate the score board while the other two teams play. I chose to participate in this volunteer opportunity because I grew up playing football and have always had a passion for the game as well as helping others. Being able to watch these young men (most since they were 6) grow as football players and people is what I enjoy most about it all.
